Petit déjeuner sur la belle terrasse du Sirocos. C'est vraiment un endroit très agréable pour séjourner.
Puis nous prenons le Blue Star à 11 h 55 pour Naxos.
Nous longeons les côtes de Paros et 45 minutes plus tard, nous voilà arrivées à Naxos.
Quelqu'un devait nous attendre au port, mais nous ne voyons personne. Après deux coups de fil à l'hôtel, voilà enfin notre véhicule. A part la chambre, qui est mignonne, et la situation, vers la plage, nous n'aimons pas trop cet hôtel, qui se veut familial et sympa, mais on sent que l'amabilité est de façade.

Un petit tour dans le Kastro, la partie ancienne de la ville, superbe.

Un vrai régal que de flâner au hasard des ruelles et admirer la vue depuis le sommet de la colline.

Je rejoins Jocelyne et ensemble, nous allons à la Portara (ou temple d'Apollon), le monument le plus célèbre de Naxos.

C'est au restaurant Apostolis que nous mangeons ce soir, très bon et très sympa.

We are leaving our nice accomodation, sigh! Sirocos Rooms is really a nice place. We also get a transfer to the port, so that we don't have to carry our luggage...
We take the Blue Star at 11.55 (7 €) and 45 minutes later, we arrive in Naxos.
The boat passes all along the coast of Paros, so that we can admire the island another time.Once in Paros, we are supposed to get transfer to the hotel, but nobody waits for us. I call the hotel and they say someone is at the port to wait for us. There are less and less people on the port and we don't see anyone with a signboard saying "Hotel Galini". I call again after a while and they say they did not see us. At last, someone is coming....
No good start with this hotel... We find the welcome not being very genuine. It is a family run business and there is something we don't like about their attitude. They seem to be friendly, but we feel they are not. It is a bit strange. The room is quite nice though, so there is nothing to complain about on that side. And it is very conveniently situated, at the end of the port and near the beach. Still, I won't recommend the hotel.
I am having a walk on my own in the old part of the city, the Kastro, so truly beautiful.

Then, I walk with Jocelyne to the Portara, the landmark of Naxos. From there, the view over the city and the coast is great.

There are many cafés all along the port and often, the decor is very funny.

Sunset through the Portara is beautiful.
Then, we have our dinner at "Apostolis", a very nice and friendly restaurant in the Market Street.
